Revisiting Romans 12:21

Let me quote Romans 12:21 from the New Living Translation for you, “Don’t let evil conquer you, but (you) conquer evil by doing good. How do WE, God’s creation conquer evil? Think about it for a moment……………………. WE conquer evil with GOOD! It’s another way of saying resist not evil (Matt. 5:39)- that we don’t like to hear, or practice. So, here is the question. Why would God ask of US that which He would not ask or demand of Himself?

For those that believe God in an eternal hell, are believing in a God who overcomes evil with EVIL!

Think about it- again.

Hell is not only a back up plan in the case love fails, or that free will doesn’t work out to His advantage, but it is God’s way of overcoming evil (ours) with His (hell).

Do we just love our enemies until we run out of patience or get tired of being nice and then we slam them? Do we go just so far with our own children and when we determine love isn’t getting through to them, we cut them off? Unfortunately the church does just that. In most churches there is no Psalms 57:10 mercy. Love fails in most churches!

Let His love never fail in us- in ME! God is GOOD ALL the TIME, not just sometimes, not just until we die. God is GOOD even in His judgments- after we die. Why is this so hard to comprehend? Religious traditions can’t be that strong! Matthew 15:3,6,9 reveals to us the strength of religious traditions; however, nothing is stronger that God’s will or LOVE!

May God help us to see, breathe, and BE His eternal love- that overcomes evil!

God is Love. Hell is Not.
